Welcome to vectricSpin (https://vectric.online). One of our core priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document describes the types of information that may be collected and recorded when you use vectricSpin, and how we handle it.
1. Overview
vectricSpin is a free, browser-based spin the wheel random decision maker. It has been designed from the ground up to collect as little information as possible. There is no account system, no email requirement, no user profile, and no login. You can use the tool without ever identifying yourself, and every function of the wheel runs entirely inside your browser.
The short version: we do not sell your data. We do not want to know who you are. Your option lists never leave your device.
2. Information we collect
Because vectricSpin has no account system, we do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, postal address, phone number, or payment details. We do not ask you to log in, sign up, or verify your identity to use any feature of the tool.
The only categories of data that may be processed are:
- Anonymous usage data collected by Google Analytics and our hosting infrastructure (such as page views and general traffic patterns).
- Aggregated technical data such as browser type, device type, and approximate geographic region — used purely to keep the site fast and reliable.
- Information from third-party advertising partners, described in detail in section 6 below.
- Local data you deliberately save in your browser (such as your list of wheel options), which never leaves your device.
3. Local storage and your options
When you type options into the wheel — such as "Pizza, Burger, Sushi" — vectricSpin saves them locally on your own device using the browser's built-in localStorage feature. This is purely for your convenience: it means your list is still there when you close the tab and come back later.
This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to our servers, it is not synced to any account, and we have no way of reading it. If you clear your browser's site data, the list disappears permanently. You are always in full control.
4. Server logs
Like nearly every website on the internet, our hosting provider automatically records standard access logs when you visit vectricSpin. These logs may include your IP address, browser type, Internet Service Provider, the date and time of your visit, referring and exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks you made.
These logs are not linked to any personally identifiable information. We use them only to analyze broad traffic trends, diagnose technical issues, prevent abuse, and keep the site running reliably. Log data is typically retained for a limited period and then automatically deleted or anonymized.
5. Cookies and web beacons
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device to remember preferences and support features like analytics. vectricSpin uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic and may set analytics cookies through Google's measurement services. Other third-party services we rely on — primarily advertising networks — may also set cookies when you visit the site.
You can disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will not break the wheel tool — spinning the wheel works perfectly well without analytics cookies. It may, however, cause some analytics and ads to become less relevant or complete.
6. Third-party advertising
vectricSpin is funded by advertising, which allows us to keep the tool free for everyone. Advertisements on the site are served by third-party ad networks and partners.
These third-party ad servers and networks use technologies such as cookies, JavaScript, and web beacons in their advertisements and links. When you see an ad, the ad network automatically receives your IP address, and may use information about your browsing activity on this and other sites to serve targeted advertising.
Some of our advertising partners, including Google and its partners, use the DoubleClick DART cookie and similar technologies. Google uses the DART cookie to serve ads to visitors based on their visit to vectric.online and other sites across the internet. You can opt out of the DART cookie by visiting Google's Advertising Privacy & Terms.
You can also control personalized advertising generally by visiting aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU/UK).
Please note: vectricSpin has no access to or control over the cookies used by third-party advertisers. We choose advertising partners carefully and work hard to keep ads unobtrusive, but the specific data practices of those partners are governed by their own privacy policies.
7. Third-party privacy policies
This Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. We therefore recommend that you consult the respective privacy policies of our third-party ad servers for more detailed information, including their practices and instructions on how to opt out of certain options.
To learn more about how Google handles data when you see ads, visit the Google Partner Sites policy. To review the general data practices of our other advertising partners, please refer to the privacy policy linked on each partner's website.
8. GDPR data protection rights (EU/UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:
- Right of access — you can request copies of any personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — you can request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
- Right to erasure — you can request that we delete any personal data we hold about you, subject to legal obligations.
- Right to restrict processing — you can request that we limit how your data is used.
- Right to object to processing — you can object to our processing of your personal data.
- Right to data portability — you can request that we transfer the data we have collected to another organization, or directly to you.
Because vectricSpin does not operate an account system and does not knowingly store personal data, these rights are typically satisfied automatically. If you nonetheless wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the address in section 12 and we will respond within 30 days.
9. CCPA privacy rights (California)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have additional rights, including:
- The right to know what categories of personal information a business has collected and the purposes for which it is used.
- The right to delete personal information that a business has collected about you, subject to certain exceptions.
- The right to opt out of the sale of personal information.
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
vectricSpin does not sell personal information. If you make a formal CCPA request, we will respond within 45 days. Please send requests to the contact address listed below.
10. Children's privacy
Protecting children while they use the internet is important to us. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and guide their children's online activity.
vectricSpin does not knowingly collect any personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe that your child has provided this kind of information on our website, please contact us immediately and we will promptly remove any such information from our records.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide a more prominent notice.
Continued use of vectricSpin after an updated policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of the changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically so that you always understand how your privacy is protected.
